Joedafi K. Davies is not one of IOM AVRR migrants. He lived as a refugee in Ghana from 1990 to 2012. He returned to Liberia in 2012 with his family. While in Ghana, he worked with IOM as a middleman between IOM and Liberian refugees on the USRP programs.
Joedafi K. Davies was born on December 23, 1970. He is from the South-Eastern part of Liberia and a Christian. He is a high school graduate. He has certificates and experience in Logistics and masonry. He left Liberia for Ghana in December 1992 due to the civil crisis in Liberia. He lived as a refugee in Ghana until 2012. He returned to Liberia on 1st February 2012 with his family. While in the refugee camp in Ghana, he worked with IOM USRP program. A job he did with dedication and commitment. Because of his of his service with IOM Ghana, he was recommended by that mission to the mission in Liberia for possible job opportunity. He has worked with IOM Liberia in different capacity including during the Ebola Response. He is dedicated and hard working. He is a family man and is committed to his duty. He brings years of experience as a refugee leader.

Returned migrants play a central role as Volunteers in the development, planning and implementation of the Migrants as Messengers campaign.

Through their stories, the learnings from their migratory experiences and their creativity, MaM Volunteers are the principal authors and actors of the campaign. From 2019-2022, a community of more than 300 volunteers across 7 countries will develop and grow. This community will also have access to diversified training and capacity-building opportunities and be invited to regular activities to support the development of an organic and sustainable community. Female engagement plays an important role within the MaM Volunteer community as they will take the lead in shaping women-to-women dialogue sessions and engaging female audiences more generally.
